Oasis have now completed two out of three nights in Edinburgh for their globally famous reunion tour. And last night, August 9, Liam took another swipe at Edinburgh City Council, similar to his Friday night rant.

The tension comes after it was leaked back in June that Edinburgh Council had deemed Oasis fans ‘fat drunks’. On Friday, August 8, Liam hit out at the council, calling them ‘f***ing s****’- and he came out with similar insults last night.

The Gallagher had said on Friday: “One second, where do I start here with everyone at the city council, the f***ing slags. £1 billion pounds we’re bringing to this city over the next three days. £1billion. But you won’t see any of it because the Lord Provost will be splitting it between [his] posh ugly f***ing mates.”

Last night saw a similar outburst, with the singer declaring that they were bringing even more money to Edinburgh.

Liam said: “Two billion pounds we’ll have brought into this city over the next few days – two f*****g billion – and you’ll see none of it. And they’ve got the f*****g cheek to slag us lot off.”

As Oasis launched into their iconic song Bring It On Down, Liam continued: “Still waiting for our apology… bring it on down!”

Back in June, one note from the council’s briefing documents showed officials warning that “middle-aged men take up more room, consider this when working out occupancy”.

Another detailed “concern about crowds of Oasis on weekends as they are already rowdy and the tone of the band”.

One document also suggested there would be “medium to high intoxication” at the concert, and to expect a “substantial amount of older fans”, but added there had been “minimal arrests” at recent events involving either of the Gallagher brothers.

It’s safe to say that Oasis didn’t take the comments lightly, with Liam saying at the time: “To the Edinburgh council I’ve heard what you said about Oasis fans and quite frankly your attitude f****** stinks. I’d leave town that day if I was any of you lot.”

In other Oasis news, Noel had an emotional moment during acoustic tune Talk Tonight last night, where audience members noticed him getting teary-eyed.

Many fans speculated that the Scottish gigs were especially emotional for Noel, who got divorced from his Scots wife Sara McDonald in 2023.

Noel’s divorce from the Scottish music PR is said to have set him back £20m and forced him to give up their luxury £8M Hampshire home.

The Gallagher previously opened up about their split on Matt Morgan’s Patreon Podcast, where he spoke about adjusting to single life.

He even described a cheeky gesture he makes when biking in London: “I can get on the bike and go up to King’s Cross, and go down to the canal at Longfield Road.

“And get on the canal outside my wonderful ex-wife’s house and give her a little wave, and go, ‘You didn’t take this from me’!”
