If Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were still working members of the royal family, their Easter weekend would be chock full of official events. Heading off to church with the rest of the royals, perhaps partaking in an Easter egg hunt on the grounds of Buckingham Palace. Fancy things like that. A far cry from the chic-yet-laidback vibe Markle shared in her recent “Easter Edit” picks. She’s all about the garden and her kids and, of course, some tasteful glassware from one of her preferred stores. Anthropologie.
Markle, who is raising 5-year-old son Archie and 3-year-old daughter Lilibet “Lili” Diana with husband Prince Harry at their Montecito home, recently shared her favorite Easter picks. Some of her preferred choices included a pale blue Sintra tablecloth and matching cloth napkins from Serena & Lily, a set of four Savannah juice glasses from Anthropologie, and a set of Lyon Portuguese stoneware dinner plates also from Anthropologie. When it comes to the kids, Markle favored adorable striped twill Petite Plume pajamas, a kids’ gardening set from ZICOTO, and a Maisonette Easter basket for collecting up their chocolate eggs.
While we might not be invited to Markle’s dinner table for Easter or her gorgeous garden for a fun old-fashioned egg hunt, these items really offer a sense of what the weekend will look like for the family. Elegant, cozy, gentle; quintessential Markle. A specific refined style that Markle’s fans are eating up.
Ever since Markle first introduced Netflix watchers to her particular hosting and cooking style on her new series With Love. every product she touches or endorses seems to be flying off the shelves. Her As Ever lifestyle brand of raspberry jam, wildflower honey with honeycomb, shortbread cookies, and more sold out in an hour, while any of the other products she shares, from dining room chairs to tableware, seems to go viral. While it’s true that her Netflix series is not filmed in her own home, Markle has given little glimpses into her own kitchen and her garden on Instagram. Just enough of a glimpse to give fans of an idea of the idyllic space in Montecito, a perfect spot to cook up a big family dinner or host a sweet Easter egg hunt for the neighborhood kids.
Markle might not be heading to her in-laws’ palace for Easter this year, but we have a feeling she’ll have a perfectly curated, easy weekend regardless.
