Another heatwave is poised to sizzle parts of the UK, with weather maps indicating which major cities could be in for a bout of sweltering weather.

The UK has already experienced three heatwaves this summer, and a fourth is on the horizon, set to affect various regions of the country.

Temperatures are predicted to reach up to 32C in some areas next week, with forecasters pinpointing the day that could bring the most intense heat.

Ventusky’s forecasters have also identified nine major UK cities that could bask in the warmest weather come Tuesday.

This follows an intriguing heatwave forecast revealing the precise date a 39C heat plume is expected to scorch the UK.

Weather maps indicate that parts of England and Wales could see temperatures climb to 32C on Tuesday, with several cities turning a fiery red around 4pm. These cities include London, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Bristol, Swansea, Nottingham, Leeds and Norwich.

While other cities like Brighton and Newcastle may not reach the 32C mark, locals can still look forward to a pleasant 23C, reports the Mirror.

The balmy weather could persist until Thursday, as the hot spell shifts towards the East of England.

A heatwave is officially declared when an area meets the heatwave threshold for three consecutive days, which varies from 25C to 28C across the UK.

The Met Office has also forecast that temperatures will climb into the 30s across vast swathes of the nation early next week.

The forecasting body stated: “From Sunday, temperatures will begin to rise across southern parts of the UK, as the remnants of Tropical Storm Dexter, draws warm air up from the southwest across the UK.

“Temperatures are expected to exceed 30C in places across parts of central, southern and eastern England on Monday and Tuesday.”

Met Office Deputy Chief Meteorologist, Steven Keates, said: “We’re confident that temperatures will increase markedly by the start of next week, reaching the low 30s Celsius in parts of England on Monday and perhaps the mid 30s in a few places on Tuesday.

“However, the length of this warm spell is still uncertain, and it is possible that high temperatures could persist further into next week, particularly in the south.”
