When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were still senior working members of the Royal Family they traveled to Australia for the Invictus Games, and in order to make sure things went off without a hitch, Meghan brought members of her team.

According to royal biographer Tom Bower, the Palace staff were not so keen on the Duchess bringing backup, which created some tension, so much so, dishes started flying, well, in this case, a teacup.

Bower describes what actually went down in his 2022 joint biography of the Sussexes, entitled Revenge: Meghan, Harry, and the War Between the Windsors.

According to Bower, with her squad by her side, made-up of six people, Meghan was abrasive to the Palace staff who were there to help her during the visit.

According to Bower, Meghan “allegedly threw a cup of tea into the air.” A cup being thrown up into the air isn’t as bad as cup being thrown against a wall, shattering into pieces, but even so, tossing tea cups does come across as a little unladylike, definitely unroyallike.

In his book, Bower says Harry and Meghan would scroll the comments section, and would become “inflamed by the slightest criticism,” which may have spilled over to the Palace staff.

He wrote: “Then, both bombarded their staff with demands for retribution and removal of the criticism.”

The coverage allegedly angered Meghan, in which she blamed the senior royal aide Jason Knauf for not getting in front of the stores “Hollywood-style.”

It appears Meghan’s anger rubbed off on Harry with him snapping at the British media: “Thank you for coming, although you weren’t actually invited.”

Since then, Harry and Meghan resigned from their positions as senior working royals and now live in Montecito, California, with their two children.

Harry is planing a trip to the UK in September, where he hopes to meet with his father, King Charles, following a meeting between Harry’s reps and Charles’s rep in London, earlier this summer.

It’s believed that the meeting may possibly happen, but Meghan has been advised to watch her words as any small misstep could throw the plans off.
