Numitor, a horse I tipped a year ago at 100/30, is trying to win the Unibet Middle Distance Veterans’ Handicap Chase at Haydock (3.15) again but I can’t side with him again at odds of 7/1 off a rating of 142.

There are some horse races where we’ve got very little to go on when studying the form, but in veteran handicap chases there’s no excuse for cutting corners. The form of these old warriors is well known, and it’s exactly the kind of race where we should be leaving no stone unturned.
