Earlier this month, Gazzetta dello Sport reported on Leeds United’s interest in AS Roma striker Artem Dovbyk.

The newspaper indicated that the Italian side were seriously considering the Ukraine international’s exit, due to a lack of suitability to new manager Gian Piero Gasperini’s system.

Today’s Gazzetta dello Sport has more information about the 28-year-old.

They report that two representatives from Leeds United were in the stands to monitor Dovbyk when Roma took on Everton at the weekend.

It is claimed that the striker looked completely out of touch with the rest of his teammates and this is a big indication of why he will not cut it under Gasperini.

Corriere della Sera report something similar and also speak of Leeds United’s interest, with Roma eyeing Nikola Krstovic as a replacement for the Ukraine international weeks after he rejected the Whites.

As of now, the Giallorossi will only sell Dovbyk if Daniel Farke’s side offer over €30m.

This is because the striker arrived in Rome from Girona last summer for a fee of €38m and the Italian side are desperate to recoup that money as soon as they can.
