The 21-year-old from Carlisle will depart the Riverside at the end of his contract.
McAlindon has progressed through Durham’s academy over the last five years, making his first-class debut in 2022 aged 18.
The England Under-19 international has recently been playing club cricket for Tynemouth as well as regular action for Durham’s Second XI this summer.
With his latest rookie deal at Durham set to expire, the county’s director of cricket Marcus North said: “Stan will leave us at the end of the season, having been a member of our squad for the last five years.
“We wish him all the success in his future endeavours.”
Durham’s announcement came as they also confirmed that Mitchell Killeen will be leaving the club after turning down a new deal. He is set to join Essex.
