Sandwiches are the bread and butter of Manchester’s casual dining scene, and now these lunchtime favourites are being celebrated in all their glory at a one-of-a-kind event that’s landing in the city later this year.
Whether you call it a sarnie, sandwich, buttie or hoagie, Sarnie Party, the UK’s ultimate sandwich celebration, is coming to Manchester this September.
After success in London, the ‘world’s greatest sandwich festival’ is heading North, bringing the party to the Kampus neighbourhood for two days of carb-loaded joy, juicy cross-sections and next-level fillings.
Harriet Downey, General Manager at Kampus said: “We’re looking forward to bringing Sarnie Party to Manchester and hosting so many sandwich lovers in our garden neighbourhood.

“We’re lucky to have some of the best independent food and drink brands in the city here at Kampus, and it’s exciting to have them joined by so many other great operators to celebrate all things sandwich!”

On the evening of Friday 12 and all day Saturday 13 September, the sandwich celebration will bring together the very best of the North’s dough-obsessed chefs and sandwich makers in a showcase of the very best sarnies.
With ten independent operators across both days, guests can expect to see local Manchester sandwich legends including Bada Bing and Rack – plus bakeries and restaurants including Pollen, Madre and OSMA who will be serving up special sarnies.
They’ll be joined by a host of chefs from across the North including Derek’s from Liverpool and The Bodega from Norwich – each creating a unique, never-been-seen (or eaten) sandwich for the festival.

Guests can also expect sarnie specials and drinks offers from existing Kampus residents, plus an outdoor bar with cocktails from Kraken and Tito’s and a selection of ice cold beers. Local station, Reform Radio, will also be outdoors spinning discs too.
Sarnie Party is the creation of London’s entrepreneurs, a combination of seasoned festival curator Molly Hutchinson and Allie Behr of Hot Sauce Society, who bring together their love of the UK food scene and equal passion for the UK’s favourite snack.
