Spider-Man fans have been given a first look behind-the-scenes with lead actor Tom Holland boasting “it felt sick” shooting scenes in Glasgow.

The huge Marvel production for Spider-Man: Brand New Day is currently underway in the Scots city until August 26, with eager fans lining the streets hoping to catch a glimpse of the action as it unfolds.

The blockbuster, to be released in cinemas on July 31, 2026, follows Peter Parker as he tries to focus on his university studies and leave his Spider-Man alter ego behind. But when a mysterious force threatens New York, Peter must suit-up again to protect his friends and neighbours.

Tom Holland, who plays the famous Spider-Man, shared a teaser on Instagram in which he walks through Glasgow’s ‘New York’ set on day one meeting fellow stars as well as hundreds of excited fans, young and old, dressed to the nines in costumes of their favourite superhero.

Fully kitted out in his Spider-Man gear, Tom is seen greeting fans and lifting one lucky young fan over the barrier for some memorable pictures, reports Glasgow Live.

Tom said: “I feel good. It’s my fourth ever day one on Spider-Man. It’s funny, putting the suit on feels different this time. It’s also the first time we’ve ever had fans on set for day one so it’s really exciting to share this with them.

“I’m going to do my best and hopefully get it right, no pressure.”

The video, produced by Sony Pictures Entertainment, also shows Spider-Man on top of an army tank as it races through the street, seemingly attempting to get inside. Tom concludes: “That felt sick.”

You could still be in with a chance of witnessing the action live, as it unfolds, if you pop on over to the city centre between now and August 26.
