Middleton Park was filled with wagging tails, happy faces, and the sound of applause on Sunday (10 August 2025) as 167 people and their four-legged friends came together for the Middleton Park Fun Dog Show.

Organised by Sian Gardener, a dedicated member of the Friends of Middleton Park Charity, the event celebrated the special bond between dogs and their owners while raising money for the charity to continue their work.

One of the day’s highlights was the youngest judge, Harper-Jean, whose enthusiasm, kindness, and natural talent made her an amazing addition to the event. Her thoughtful decisions and friendly approach made both participants and spectators feel valued — proving that you’re never too young to make a big difference in the community.

The dog show featured a variety of fun classes, from “Obedience” to “Waggiest Tail,” with plenty of medals and treats to go around. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, friendly competition, and the occasional bark of excitement.

A special thank you goes out to Harrisons Family Vets, Middleton Park Café, and all the other stall holders whose support helped make the day extra special. From delicious food and drinks to local pet-friendly stalls, their contributions brought an added layer of warmth and charm to the event.

With such a fantastic turnout, the Middleton Park Fun Dog Show has once again proven to be a highlight of the local calendar — a day where dogs, families, and neighbours come together to celebrate community spirit and provide free events that are accessible to all.
