The Jonas Brothers have sung about the highs and lows of love — often drawing inspiration from their own relationship histories.
Since skyrocketing to fame in the 2000s, Kevin, Joe and Nick have had their love lives play out in the public eye, especially given that the two younger brothers have had several romances with fellow Disney Channel stars and singers.
Joe dated Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato before marrying Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner, whom he officially divorced in 2024. As for Nick, he dated Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus before marrying his wife, Priyanka Chopra, with whom he shares one daughter.
Years later, Nick opened up to Variety in December 2024 about his fellow Disney Channel alums, including several of his and Joe’s exes. “That graduating class of Miley, Selena and Demi, it was all of us coming up together and you can see, frankly, the length of our careers and the success we’ve all been able to have,” he said.
Meanwhile, Kevin has a short (but very sweet!) relationship history, as he met his wife, Danielle Jonas (née Deleasa), in 2007. The pair later married in 2009 and went on to welcome two children.
From Joe Jonas’ romance with Demi Lovato to Nick Jonas’ relationship with Miley Cyrus, here’s a guide to the Jonas Brothers’ most famous relationships.
Joe Jonas
Mandy Van Duyne
Before Joe was selling out stadiums and walking red carpets, he was linked to his childhood friend Mandy Van Duyne, whom he reportedly dated in high school. In 2005, the Jonas Brothers released their debut single, “Mandy,” which was written about Van Duyne.
“Mandy is our childhood friend that has always been a part of our lives. She dated Joe at one point,” the band told AOL (via Songfacts) about the inspiration behind the track.
While it’s unknown when they split, the Jonas Brothers told AOL that Joe and Van Duyne would be “best friends forever.”

Joe had a nearly one-year-long relationship with “Potential Breakup Song” singer AJ Michalka in 2006. A decade later, Michalka revealed during an interview with MTV that Joe was her first kiss, and she might’ve been his, too.
“[The Jonas Brothers] opened for us when we were all like, 15, and so we started dating and we were together for a year,” she said.

One of Joe’s most widely known relationships was with pop icon Swift, whom he dated for a few months in the summer of 2008. During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that November, Swift claimed that Joe broke up with her in a 25-second phone call.
Swift’s Fearless album, released that November, included a track inspired by her split from Joe, titled “Forever and Always.”
“[It’s] a song about watching somebody completely fade away in a relationship and wondering what you did wrong,” Swift told PEOPLE at the time.
Since then, the pair have moved forward on good terms, including going on double dates with their respective partners and Joe changing lyrics believed to be about Swift.
Demi Lovato

Joe and Lovato became friends after playing love interests in Disney Channel’s hit 2008 film, Camp Rock, and went public with their relationship in March 2010. Two months later, PEOPLE confirmed they had split.
In 2020, the “Stone Cold” singer told Harper’s Bazaar she was no longer in contact with the Jonas Brothers. But more recently, the former couple seem to have reconnected.
On Aug. 10, Lovato, who is now married to singer Jutes, joined the Jonas Brothers onstage for a surprise performance of some of Camp Rock’s biggest hits, as the group kicked off their 20th anniversary tour.

After his split from Lovato, Joe began dating Twilight actress Ashley Greene in the summer of 2010, though they didn’t go public with their relationship until that fall. After nearly one year of dating, reps confirmed they had called it quits in March 2011.
In October 2016, he revealed during a Reddit AMA that he had lost his virginity to Greene, leading her to seemingly respond on Instagram with a post that read, “class is timeless.”
Shortly after, Joe told Entertainment Tonight that he was “not out to hurt anybody,” and had just been “telling my stories and what I can say from my heart.”

Joe crossed paths with his ex-girlfriend, Gigi Hadid, seven years before they were first linked in the summer of 2015. “We met at the Grammys when I was 13 years old,” Hadid said in 2015, per Entertainment Tonight. “And he asked me to a baseball game, and I said, ‘No.’ ”
By November 2015, PEOPLE confirmed the pair had gone their separate ways, with a source saying that “nothing serious happened.”
“It wasn’t a dramatic break up,” the source said. “It was just hard to make it work with their schedules. They will definitely remain friends.”

Joe and his ex-wife Turner’s romance began when he slid into the Game of Thrones star’s Instagram DMs. PEOPLE confirmed they were dating in December 2016, and the couple announced their engagement in October 2017.
They tied the knot in two separate weddings in 2019 and went on to welcome two children together. After four years of marriage, news broke in September 2023 that the singer had filed for divorce from Turner. They acknowledged it publicly days later in a joint Instagram post, writing that they had “mutually decided to amicably end our marriage.”
“There are many speculative narratives as to why, but truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children,” the statement continued. They reached a settlement agreement in September 2024.

Nick and Cyrus first crossed paths in 2006 and began dating “the day [they] met,” as she revealed to Seventeen magazine in 2008.
After they broke up at the end of 2007, she opened up about their romance to Seventeen, saying they “loved each other.”
“We still do, but we were in love with each other,” the “Flowers” singer continued. “For two years, he was basically my 24/7.”
Nearly two decades later, during a June 2025 episode of the Every Single Album podcast, Cyrus confirmed that they were “all moving on.”
“I like Nick,” she said. “Everything is good in the world. Niley for life.”

Nick dated fellow Disney Channel alum Gomez from 2008 until 2010. Although they parted ways, it led to another kind of relationship for Gomez: a years-long friendship with Swift.
During an August 2025 appearance on the Therapuss with Jake Shane podcast, Gomez shared that she and Swift “bonded” over their respective breakups with Nick and Joe, respectively.
“Everything was … cute, we were young. We all know and love each other now and it’s so cute,” the Only Murders in the Building actress said. “We don’t know what we were doing. She and I like to say the best thing we got out of those relationships was each other because it was really sweet.”

After his split from Gomez, Nick dated Australian pop star Delta Goodrem. In February 2012, Goodrem’s rep confirmed that they had “decided to mutually end their relationship.”
“They remain friends and wish each other the best for the future,” the statement continued.

In 2013, Nick began dating former Miss Universe, Olivia Culpo, who inspired his hit song “Jealous.” In June 2015, PEOPLE confirmed that the pair had split after nearly two years together.
Years later, Culpo opened up about the aftermath of their breakup during a November 2022 episode of her TLC reality show, The Culpo Sisters.
“I did date Nick, and that was a very formative experience for me,” she said. “I moved to L.A. with him. I had no brand, no money and I was in love. That was great, right? But when he broke up with me, I was kind of left with no sense of identity.”
Culpo, who is now married to NFL player Christian McCaffrey, continued, “My whole identity was in him, which is a very common story of a young person in love. I thought we were going to get married.”
Priyanka Chopra

In 2016, a push from mutual friends led Nick to reach out to Chopra on social media. However, they didn’t meet in person until 2017 at the Vanity Fair Oscars party. Their relationship was casual (though flirty!) at first, but things eventually became more serious between the pair.
Nick and Chopra got engaged in July 2018, tied the knot that December and became parents in January 2022, when they welcomed their daughter, Malti Marie.

Kevin and his wife Danielle’s love story began in May 2007, when they met while on vacation with their families in the Bahamas. At the time, she “didn’t know who the Jonas Brothers were,” as she told PEOPLE following their engagement in July 2009.
The couple wed in December 2009, and went on to welcome two daughters together. In honor of their 10th wedding anniversary in 2019, Kevin celebrated the milestone with a heartfelt Instagram post, writing, “I remember the date we met May 23rd. The date we got engaged July 2nd, And of course the date we were married December 19th.”
“I remember these not because I’m good with numbers. (I’m a musician, after all.) I remember them because they are the three most important days of my life,” he continued in the post.
