Popeyes UK is opening its first Sheffield city centre restaurant on Friday 15th August 2025. Doors open at 11am at The Moor shopping centre.
This will be Popeyes’ 30th opening of the year and its 95th since arriving in the UK. The brand says it will celebrate in true New Orleans style, with giveaways and live music on launch day.
The first three people in the queue will win free Chicken Sandwiches for a year*. The next 50 will receive exclusive Popeyes UK merchandise, and the first 100 will get a free Chicken Sandwich. A Mardi Gras-style performance from The Brass Funkeys will add to the occasion.
The restaurant will serve Popeyes’ full menu, including its signature Chicken Sandwich, Hot Wings, Tenders and Signature Chicken Wraps. All chicken is marinated for 12 hours in the brand’s Louisiana seasoning, then hand-breaded and battered for what Popeyes calls its “shatter-crunch” finish.
The launch also marks the return of the Hot Honey range, including the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich, Hot Honey Saucin’ Boneless, Hot Honey Saucin’ Wings and the Hot Honey Box Meal.
From Saturday 16 August, breakfast will also be available, featuring Cajun Hash Browns and the Big Breakfast Roll, made with a herby chicken sausage patty, egg and American cheese in a brioche bun.

Sheffield has a vibrant food scene and we’re looking forward to bringing the flavour of New Orleans to even more people right in the heart of the city.”
The new site at 29 The Moor will have 68 seats, self-service kiosks and collection points for online orders, and will create 52 local jobs.
