Queen Elizabeth II’s Former Press Secretary Ailsa Anderson has some choice words for Prince Harry.

In the U.K. documentary Prince Harry: My Terrible Year, which aired on Saturday, August 9, the former employee of the late monarch opened up about her bond with the Queen’s grandson, whom she called a “very warm, engaging and kind person.”

However, despite her kind comments, she did have harsh words for the Duke of Sussex amid he and wife Meghan Markle‘s fallout with the rest of the royal family.

“Stop being the victim and start being the hero of the piece, start writing your own script,” Anderson said in a message to Harry. “I think people are just getting a little bit tired of how Prince Harry thinks the world is against him and how awful his life is.”

She also claimed that the Duke is “too impulsive” which she alluded to being the reason behind some of his recent decisions.

Harry has been vocal over the past few months about the rift growing between him and his father, King Charles. After losing his appeal for government-funded security in the U.K., Harry sat down for a BBC interview where he claimed that the King “won’t speak” to him.

The Duke also shared his wish to reconcile with his family during the interview.

“I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore,” Harry said at the time. “Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has.”

King Charles is currently 76-years-old and is battling an undisclosed form of cancer after announcing his diagnosis in March 2024.

Anderson appeared to speak on the family rift in the documentary, when she said, “I think trust is paramount in every walk of life, if you can’t trust your family, who can you trust?”
