As part of its digital transformation strategy and the modernization of telecommunications infrastructure, Uzbektelecom announced its transition to advanced technologies for providing permanent internet access and updating the terms of several tariffs.

Starting from August 2025, the company will focus on high-speed solutions such as GPON and FTTx, offering speeds of 100 Mbps and above.

This decision represents an important step in implementing the company’s strategy to develop the digital ecosystem and create a sustainable technological foundation for the future of the entire country. The company is actively investing in network modernization and the adoption of modern solutions to provide users with higher-quality, stable, and fast internet service.

International experience shows that in most developed countries, outdated technologies that deliver low speeds have already been phased out. For example, in Germany, the UK, and Japan, operators have fully transitioned to optical and hybrid solutions that provide speeds of 100 Mbps and higher. UZTELECOM is following these global trends by offering its subscribers next-generation internet.

The demand for home internet is growing every day. While in the past only one computer might have been connected to the network, today every household has smartphones, tablets, laptops, smart TVs, and even household appliances capable of connecting to Wi-Fi.

Smart TVs, online streaming platforms, video calls, remote work, online education, streaming services, smart homes, and security cameras—all require reliable, truly high-speed internet.

Technologies that were relevant 10–15 years ago no longer meet current requirements and usage demands. Their connection speeds are limited, preventing full use of the internet. In addition, they are more susceptible to technical failures, which cause inconvenience.

From now on:

  • All new connections will be provided exclusively via modern GPON or FTTB technologies, depending on the technical capabilities of your area.

  • The minimum speed in the tariff package will be 100 Mbps. This ensures that even if the whole family uses the internet simultaneously, there will be enough speed for comfortable work, leisure, and communication.

  • Subscribers using ADSL or VDSL technology will be offered special conditions for switching to next-generation tariffs, with the company providing technical support during the transition process.

  • Due to technological innovation and the rising costs of maintaining modern infrastructure, there will be changes to the terms of wired internet tariffs. The updated tariff package will offer customers:

  • Significantly higher connection speeds starting from 100 Mbps,

  • Improved stability and throughput,

  • Enhanced opportunities for work, study, and leisure in a digital environment.
