We are seeking a new Finance & Administration Manager to join Together Films on a part time basis. Please read the job specification below and complete the application form at the bottom of this page to apply.
Location: UK based. Hybrid (remote and office) working, with a flexible office base available in London. Weekly attendance in the office on Wednesdays. Please let us know your location and any flexible work requests upon application.
Term: Part-Time Employment, with 2-month probation period.
Salary: £30,000 to £45,000 per annum pro rata; commensurate with experience
Hours: 16-20 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP, no later than 1st October, 2025

The Role
Your mission is to maintain the company’s day-to-day bookkeeping and HR administration (including payroll, holiday allocations etc), reporting to the CEO, Director of Operations, and Company Accountants. For clarity, this is not a production accountancy role on a specific production, but rather managing the finances for the company-wide transactions of a sales & servicing company.

- Together Films Sales Ltd (Film Sales Agency)
Together Films uses the accountancy software Xero for all bookkeeping and payroll.
Taking the pulse of the financial information across the suite of companies, you will provide accurate, up-to-date reports and forecasts along with analysis to assist with strategic decision making. You will work closely with the CEO to ensure that the overall financial health of the company is on target.
We are seeking a data-driven and methodical team member, who will enjoy the opportunity to work with a social justice film company. We’re looking for someone who knows the film industry and has ideally had either agency or film royalty experience. You must be brilliant at keeping systems in order.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Weekly:
- Entering bills to Xero
- Ensuring timely payment of all supplier bills
- Drafting Sales Invoices in Xero & sending them to clients in line with contract timelines
- Credit Control to ensure timely receipt of funds
- Bank Reconciliation (Credits & Debits) ensuring accurate project tracking codes are used
- Staff expenses & reconciliation to project budget codes
- Managing the accounts@togetherfilms.org email account for any inquiries regarding payments & sales
Monthly:
- Support CEO with the preparation of Monthly Management Reports (of which Xero has an automated function for some of the key aspects such as Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable statements / P&L / Balance Sheet)
- Preparation of Cash Flow forecasts aligned to funding and business development goals
- Preparation of Project Budget & Variance Reports & Project Income
- Preparation of Film Sales Royalty Statements
- Management of certificate of residence with regard to withholding tax & liaising with film buyers on tax treaties
- Preparation of PAYE reports, pension filings & payments
- Coordination of staff holiday, toil allowances, and additional benefits
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
- Grant administration (both incoming and outgoing) and relevant reporting to stakeholders
- Grant application administration (including budget preparation and budget reporting)
- Travel planning and payments (for festival/market attendance)
- Review project budgets & reconcile to ensure campaigns are performing as expected.
- Support the CEO on any additional financial or clerical tasks as required that relate to company finances, audits or returns.
- Support the CEO on HR items such as new employee Payroll administration & holiday allowance administration.
Quarterly:
- Sending Producer Royalty Reports and issuing payments in a timely manner
- Answer any Producer queries on Royalty Reports
- Support Company Accountants in preparing for Annual Returns, VAT & Corporate Tax calculations. Answering any queries on transactions entered into Xero.
Software Requirements:
We require good knowledge of the following software packages or their equivalents:
- Xero
- CRM (HR, reporting)
- Time tracking (Everhour)
- Google Suite
- Zoom
- Airtable
Minimum Experience Specification:
We’re looking for someone with a minimum of 5+ years of accounts experience, who has ideally had exposure to both media service agency and film sales and/or film distribution in their career.
