The city will bask in sunshine throughout the day (August 13), with temperatures hitting highs of 29 degrees, according to the Met Office.
Temperatures are expected to start rising at around 10am this morning.

(Image: Google) In a statement, regarding today’s weather, the Met Office said: “Very warm or hot. Isolated showers are possible later.
“Mainly dry and sunny and becoming very warm or hot. Some sea breezes keep it fresher at times on the coast.
“Isolated heavy showers are possible later in the afternoon, mainly over the hills.”
With temperatures set to soar today, it means Glasgow will be as warm as Ibiza in Spain.
According to the Met Office, temperatures in Ibiza will also hit highs of 29 degrees on August 13.
