Leeds have reached an agreement in principle to sign former Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin as a free agent, journalist David Ornstein has revealed.
The ‘outstanding’ England international is set to undergo a medical at Leeds’ training ground Thorp Arch ‘imminently’ and is poised to become their second striker arrival of the summer following Lukas Nmecha.
Calvert-Lewin has been available on a free since departing Everton upon the expiry of his contract, after spending nine years at Goodison Park.
The 28-year-old forward scored 71 goals in 274 appearances for the Toffees, who had offered him a new deal last summer, but the two parties failed to agree terms.
