Police recovered a deadly arsenal of weapons following a foot chase through the streets of Birmingham.
Officers spotted a suspicious male in the Highgate area who then fled after being asked to stop.
A pursuit followed and a knife and drugs were found on him after he was detained.

Police then found a live semi automatic handgun, with ammunition at his home address.

Project Guardian WMP posted: “Recently, Team 2 detained a male in Highgate after a foot chase.
“We recovered a knife and drugs from his person.
“We went onto search his address, locating a live semi automatic handgun, with ammunition.
“The male was remanded pending further court appearances.”
