Leeds United have been linked with a move for former Barcelona and AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie this summer.
The Ivory Coast international has been at Al-Ahli since 2023 and has another year left on his contract at the Saudi Pro League club.
Last season, he played 44 games in all competitions, scoring four goals and providing five assists.

However, two days later, Give Me Sport’s Ben Jacobs reported that it is not understood to be the case, with Leeds not currently exploring a move for Kessie.
In case they are to rekindle their interest in the Ivorian, Dr Rajpal Brar does not expect any issues with his medical.
Kessie did not face any injury woes last term and his game time was also regular.
Dr Brar told MOT Leeds News: “I do not expect there to be any issues with his medical.
“He played regularly last season without injuries and that’s as good as it can get for a club looking to sign him.
“At 28, he’s arguably at his peak, so it may be the ideal time to sign him for a physical standpoint.”

Leeds United do not need to sign Kessie
Leeds United’s midfield is well-stocked after signing Anton Stach and Sean Longstaff, complementing existing talents Ao Tanaka, Ilia Gruev and Ethan Ampadu.
This quintet offers versatility, defensive solidity and creativity, covering all midfield roles effectively.
Kessie’s career stats.
Pursuing Kessie, a high-wage, ball-carrying midfielder, is unnecessary and financially imprudent, as his skillset overlaps with Tanaka and Ampadu.
Instead, Leeds should prioritise a striker to bolster their attack, which lacked consistent goal-scoring last season.
A proven forward could provide the clinical edge needed for Premier League survival.
Allocating funds to a striker addresses a critical gap, ensuring Leeds maximises their attacking output rather than overcrowding an already robust midfield.
