Plover advanced in the Badger Amateur Baseball Association as the New London Irish were eliminated at home on August 10.
In the third inning, Plover went up 2-0 after a double and a single in back-to-back at-bats gave them the lead.
Plover took a 3-0 lead with an RBI in the fourth inning.
New London got within a run in the fourth inning as a two-run RBI single made the score 3-2.
Plover pushed their lead out to 7-2 with two RBI singles, a sacrifice fly, and an errant throw gave them five runs in the inning.
In the ninth inning, Plover scored their final run to finish off the Irish and knock them out of the playoffs.
