A coffee shop that has queues stretching out the door is preparing to open its second site in Liverpool. Iced is the latest venture by Bean, which boast seven local shops and 15 across the North.
Bean started in Liverpool in 2008 and acts as one of the city’s oldest independent coffee companies. The business expanded in Greater Manchester with shops now located all over the North. In 2015, Bean opened its own roastery within Brunswick Dock, where it continues operations today.
The company won Best Coffee Roaster in the North of England in 2022 and was nominated for the Best Independent Business at the City of Liverpool Business Awards the same year.
Sister business Iced offers customers a range of cold drinks including matcha lattes, coolers, lemonades, and fresh smoothies, along with snacks and brunch classics. The first Iced location opened in Sheffield’s Meadowhall shopping centre on July 10 with queues stretching out of the door.
Iced is known for its colourful creations like the pink chocolate matcha and blurry latte, and describes itself as a place “where cute vibes meet cool sips”.
