Yes, it’s still early in the month to be talking about what’s happening in September, but we thought you’d want to know about any potential delistings ASAP – and we already know of two games that are leaving the Xbox Store next month.
The first of these has just been announced in the form of Star Trek Prodigy: Supernova. This is a solo and co-op adventure game that’s received pretty mixed reviews across all platforms, and the team has taken to Steam to announce that its license has expired.
The Steam message only references that platform in the text, but the heading says it’s “leaving stores in September”.
Star Trek Prodigy: Supernova Leaving Stores In September
“We wanted to inform you that Star Trek Prodigy: Supernova is soon to be leaving the Steam store at the end of September, as our licensing agreement for the title has concluded. If you already own the game, there’s no need to worry – it will remain in your library and will continue to be fully playable.”
The other one is Taiko no Tatsujin: The Drum Master!, which you may recall was part of Xbox Game Pass at one point. There’s no explanation behind this delisting, and it notably never received a physical release either. It’s actually a game that’s exclusive to Xbox and PC, which means we’re losing an Xbox console exclusive when it goes!
“We have decided to end the sale of the main game on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at 23:59. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our customers for their use and appreciate your understanding.”
There’s every chance we’ll learn of more games getting delisted in September as the next few weeks roll on, so we’ll update this post if necessary. There’s been some concern that Fae Farm may be leaving Xbox in September due to a message that’s appeared on Steam saying it “will no longer be playable online” (it’s also disappeared from the Epic Games Store), but there’s been no official word on this yet.
Don’t forget that two major games are being delisted in August as well, with those being BioWare’s Anthem on the 15th and Project CARS 3 on the 24th. We’ve covered those departures elsewhere on Pure Xbox.
Here are the dates and trailers for those two confirmed Xbox delistings in September:
