Manchester United have been offered the chance to sign Bayern Munich defender Dayot Upamecano by his agent.
That’s according to Christian Falk, who says Bayern are pushing hard to reach an agreement with Upamecano over a new deal, but as of now, there has been little or no progress.

Malick Thiaw explains why he signed for Newcastle
The Alexander Isak saga is dominating matters at Newcastle at the moment, but there was better news for Eddie Howe as versatile German defender Malick Thiaw became the club’s third summer signing.
“I’m really excited to join this massive club,” Thiaw said after a move from AC Milan.
“I can’t wait to start training and to get to know my new team-mates and all the staff.
“The gaffer (Eddie Howe) showed me his vision and what he wants to do with me as a player and the club itself, which is really exciting.

Bournemouth have let several defenders go this summer, with Illia Zabarnyi following Dean Huijsen and Milos Kerkez for pastures new after breakthrough campaigns last season.
The recruitment of Bafode Diakite is welcome news, then, for Andoni Iraola – the 24-year-old Frenchman arrives from Lille for a reported initial fee of £30.3m plus up to £4.3m in add-ons.

Southampton have tabled a second counter-offer to Everton of around £45m for Tyler Dibling.
The 19-year-old enjoyed a breakout senior season in 2024-25, making 33 Premier League appearances.
Dibling has attracted plenty of interest this summer, most notably from Everton who have now seen three bids for the England youth international rejected by Saints.

Hurzeler confident Baleba will remain at Brighton
Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler has been speaking ahead of the start of the Premier League this weekend.
He was asked about the interest in midfielder Carlos Baleba from Manchester United and he answered saying he was ‘confident’ that Baleba would remain a Brighton player after the transfer window closes.
“I am very, very confident Baleba will stay with us,” he said.
