Northern Ireland’s WTG team
Tomorrow, the 25th World Transplant Games (WTG) will launch in Dresden — and Northern Ireland athletes will be competing. First held in Portsmouth in 1978, the Games are the world’s largest awareness event for the gift of life, and something that’s close to the hearts of donor families, living donors, supporters and families.
This will be the first time the Games will be held in Germany — they cater for up to 2,500 participants from up to 60 nations.
