A new production, and two major West End transfers are set for the Theatre Royal Haymarket in London in 2025 and 2026.
Shakespeare’s Othello is opening this October, with new musical The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry having its West End premiere in January, and new play Grace Pervades following in April.

A major new production of Shakespeare’s Othello is opening at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in October.
Othello is playing at the Theatre Royal Haymarket from 23 October 2025 to 17 January 2026.
Directed by Tony Award winner Tom Morris OBE (War Horse), Othello will run at the Theatre Royal Haymarket from 23 October 2025.
An all-star cast will feature David Harewood OBE (Homeland) as Othello, Toby Jones OBE (Mr Bates vs the Post Office) as Iago, Caitlin FitzGerald (Succession) as Desdemona, Vinette Robinson (Boiling Point) as Emilia, and Olivier Award-winner Luke Treadaway (The Curious Incident of The Dog In The Night-Time) as Cassio.

The stage musical adaptation of Rachel Joyce’s best-selling novel The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry will run from 29 January to 18 April 2026. The production premiered at Chichester Festival Theatre in summer 2025 and features Mark Addy (Game of Thrones) as Harold Fry and Jenna Russell (EastEnders) as Maureen.
The musical has a book by Rachel Joyce, Peter Darling and Katy Rudd, with music and lyrics by acclaimed indie folk musician Passenger (Mike Rosenberg). Direction is by Katy Rudd, choreography by Peter Darling, set and costume design by Bunny Christie, lighting by Paule Constable, sound by Ian Dickinson, and orchestrations by Tom Deering.

Grace Pervades, a new play by multi-award-winner David Hare, will transfer to the Theatre Royal Haymarket from April 2026, with dates to be confirmed. The play premiered at Theatre Royal Bath in June 2025.
The production stars Ralph Fiennes (Conclave) as Henry Irving and Miranda Raison (Spooks) as Ellen Terry, and is directed by Jeremy Herrin.
The creative team comprises Bob Crowley (set design), Fotini Dimou (costume design), Peter Mumford (lighting), Christopher Shutt (sound), and Paul Englishby (music).

A new production of Oscar Wilde’s Salomé is running from 30 September to 11 October 2025.
