Liverpool struck late to sink Bournemouth in the first match of their Premier League title defence. After trailing 2-0 early in the second-half, the Cherries dragged themselves back level after Antoien Semenyo’s quickfire brace of counter-attack goals. Federico Chiesa, though, was the unlikely hero for the Reds, firing home from close range after a bungled Bournemouth cross.
