Two men have appeared in court charged with firearms offences. Officers previously revealed that a number of weapons, including a firearm, and mobile phones were seized by officers executing a warrant at a property on Crewe Road Gardens, Edinburgh, on Thursday, April 17.
Christopher Livingston Snr, 61, and Christopher Livingston Jnr, 41, were arrested and charged following the incident alongside a 17-year-old girl. Christopher Snr and Christopher Jnr appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court on Saturday charged in connection with being in possession of a firearm.
The pair made no plea and were committed for further examination. They were remanded in custody to appear again at court within the next eight days. Due to legal reasons the appearance details for the 17-year-old girl could not be released by the courts.
Detective Chief Superintendent David Ferry, Specialist Crime Division, said: “I want to reassure the community that extensive enquiries are ongoing into this as part of our investigation into recent incidents in the East and West of the country.
“There will be a continued police presence in the area. If you have any information that can assist our investigation, please get in touch.”

A gang turf war has been ongoing from Edinburgh to Glasgow with cocaine kingpin Mark Richardson among the key players.
Sources say trouble flared between the rival factions after hoods linked to caged mobster Mark Richardson were accused of stealing a stash of cocaine worth £500,000 linked to a Mr Big. It’s understood the Glasgow mob boss, now based in Dubai, launched a new crime syndicate and began to flood Scotland with imported gear.
An underworld source told the Record the feud had now moved back to Edinburgh as the ‘heat’ from cops in Glasgow was getting too much.
He said: “Mr Big is not concerned at all by Richardson’s threats. He has been saying this for two months and nothing has happened.
“The Dubai player’s enforcers in Glasgow were feeling a lot of heat in Glasgow from the cops so have taken a back step for the time being.
“It was the same in Edinburgh a few weeks ago but there’s less police on the streets now so the boys over there are active again and went for Richardson’s mob last night.
“The Daniel family shouldn’t get too comfortable because he isn’t through with them.”
David McMillan’s house was firebombed on Thursday morning
This comes after three firebombings in Edinburgh. Cops were alerted to possible fire damage at a property in Marischal Crescent in Niddrie in the early hours of Thursday. It’s the second time the property has been targeted after being shot at last month.
Elsewhere, pictures show a property at Prestonfield Crescent was also torched, but it was said that police had no details on the incident at the time.
Another house was set alight at Pitcairn Grove, while a child was inside the house. The plush home is believe to belong to Richardson associate David McMillan. A chilling video showed it going up in flames after two masked thugs doused the door and inside of the letterbox in petrol.
All three of the firebombing attacks are believed to have happened at homes linked to cocaine kingpin Mark Richardson’s crew.
