The UAE has strengthened its position as a global leader in digital transformation, achieving 1st place worldwide in the United Nations 2024 E-Government Survey’s Telecommunications Infrastructure Index with a score of 100 per cent. This is reported by

According to the source, the UAE has also maintained its position as the world’s fastest country for mobile internet since July 2024, with the latest data for June 2025 recording an average download speed of 546.14 Mbps.


In 2024 alone, the UAE government completed 173.7 million digital transactions, serving more than 57 million beneficiaries across 1,419 government digital services, with a satisfaction rate of 91 per cent.


Experts highlight that the UAE’s strategy, centred on a “human-first” approach and powered by artificial intelligence, is setting new global benchmarks for digital services, innovation, and sustainable economic growth.


According to the source, the UAE aims to double the contribution of the digital economy to its GDP by 2030, with expectations that AI will account for 13.6 per cent – equivalent to US$100 billion – reinforcing its commitment to economic diversification and technological leadership.
