Triple H says WWE won’t change plans just because of online criticism.
The road to WWE WrestleMania 41 has faced criticism from many fans, with some calling it underwhelming compared to last year’s build-up. While some have expressed doubts about this year’s showcase of The Greatest Spectacle in Sports Entertainment.

WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H responded to the criticism in a new interview with Peter Rosenberg on WWE’s YouTube channel. The Game made it clear that he’s not changing direction just because the internet says so.
“One thing that Killer [Kowalski] said to me in the very beginning is, ‘You fucking work them, they don’t work you. You tell them where it goes, they don’t tell you where it goes.’ You listen to them, you adjust accordingly, you try to think where they will go emotionally, but at the end of the day, we work them. This is, to me, where it gets fun.”
“Look, nobody’s perfect, right? At the end of the day, you start to do some things, and if it’s not working, you go different directions or whatever that is. You pivot, maybe you don’t. That’s the new word in the Internet now, pivot. You’ve got to pivot. We don’t like it, you have to pivot — no we don’t. You don’t know where it’s fucking going. There’s no pivot that needs to happen cause we know where it’s going.” [H/T: Fightful]
Triple H’s blunt message regarding online complaints of the WWE product: the internet is not real life
Speaking on FLAGRANT. When asked if there’s anything he’s ever written that he thought would pay off big but ended up bombing instead, Hunter took the opportunity to say his piece regarding online complaints of the WWE product, stating that the internet isn’t a real place.

“Here’s the beautiful thing about our world. The internet is not real life, right? And the bitching and the f*cking complaining that is on there is not real life,” Triple H said. “You could read the internet, and it’ll sound like this thing is dead.
“And I’ll use Cody [Rhodes] as the example, ‘Cody’s already jumped the shark, he’s dead as a babyface.’ And he’s like, ‘Really? I don’t know. I’m in an arena with 10-15,000 people every night going ape shit for me, selling the most merchandise, but sure whatever you wanna say on the internet, that’s the golden rule.’
“So the beautiful thing for our business, unlike a movie, or a TV show, or even a book or anything else, is that we have a focus group. You go up, and you do standup, right? You do your standup for a year before you do the TV special or whatever, a lot of times, right? Because you’re trying out all the shit. And you’re seeing what works and what doesn’t.
“If you’re terrible at your job, you just do it the way you want to do it, and it bombs. If you’re good at your job, you tweak things, you change things, make it seem fresh all the time, but you’re shifting along the way until you get to where it’s just right, and then you go put it out there, right? As we begin to tell these stories, you know this is working, this is not working.

“And whether people are bitching online or not, the reaction of people live, ‘Jey Uso’s terrible! What are they doing?’ The merch, the reaction in the crowd, everything he does, it’s just the opinion of a few people.”
