Irish social media star Kayleigh Trappe has shared a powerful reminder that change is always possible, no matter your age or starting point.

In her latest post, the 29-year-old reflected on her personal transformation, posting throwback clips and photos from when she was younger alongside videos of her now, looking fitter and stronger than ever.

Captioning the post in both Irish and English, she wrote: ‘Is maith an scéalaí an aimsir… (Time is a good storyteller).’

Kayleigh admitted that as a student she was ‘yer one that made every excuse to get out of PE,’ but everything shifted when she turned 21.

‘A wee light switch went off,’ she explained, describing how she began exploring different sports and activities she’d once avoided. By 23, she had kicked her first GAA football, joking, ‘I wasn’t making county.’

From there, she joined gyms, made lasting friendships, and even tried her hand at a golf tournament and made an appearance on Dancing with the Stars!

Her love for movement grew through hikes, charity runs, and cycles with family and friends, eventually leading her to take part in the endurance fitness race Hyrox, where she finished in third place!

Reflecting on her journey, Kayleigh encouraged her followers to embrace new challenges: ‘I love it all. What it’s all about. Just want to let you all know, from my experience, that you can do anything. At any age. Just give her a go!’

The post struck a chord with her audience, not only celebrating her transformation but also serving as motivation for anyone hesitant to step outside their comfort zone.

Fellow influencer Katie Tully commented under her post, saying: ‘Oh dear Jesus you caught me off guard. The kick up the **** I needed to see today to start moving towards getting strong post 4th baby! Some woman! Incredible.’

Another impressed follower gushed: ‘Incredible, an inspiration for the little eyes & even the big ones! Continued success, Kayleigh,’ and content creator Clóda Scanlon penned: ‘Love love love this, proud of you always.’

Sharing throwback photos is never easy thanks to dodgy tan jobs and hair extensions, but posting old pictures to 350k followers, like she has done, takes serious courage and is sure to inspire others to embrace their past with confidence.

Congratulations on completing your first Hyrox, Kayleigh!
