King Charles’ Health Deteriorates
While there are many different sources reporting many different updates on King Charles’ health, pretty much all of them point to the same conclusion: his health is declining. One report revealed that the King is using a walking stick to move around his Sandringham, Norfolk estate, and that it’s “a necessity” at this stage. “His health has deteriorated significantly in recent months,” the source explained.
But in July 2025, Charles was on a walkabout in Newmarket, and gave a fan an update on how he’s feeling. The fan, Lee Harman, said Charles said “he was feeling a lot better now” and that the illness was “just one of those things.” Sending well wishes!

Reconciliation For Prince Brothers?
With the state of their father’s health in mind, insiders think it’s entirely possible for reconciliation between the brothers to occur soon. “It wouldn’t be surprising if William and Harry reconnected a bit over this,” the insider told Parade. Prince Harry is definitely extending an olive branch: According to the UK’s Daily Mail, the Duke of Sussex quietly offered to share his official schedule of engagements with his father. In an ideal world for Harry, this will help find a time for him and King Charles to meet in person.
However, this likely won’t be enough for William. “Overall doubt still prevails in Prince William’s camp,” royal expert Hilary Fordwich said. “He considers any reconciliation at all as a ‘grave mistake.’ His senior royal courtiers are understood to be just as wary and immensely protective of the future monarch. They only see [a reconciliation] as creating more bombshells, as well as instability.”

King Charles Aides Meet With Prince Harry’s Aides
Perhaps King Charles’ health status is what led to the meeting of his aides with Prince Harry’s aides back in July.
Meredith Maines and Liam Maguire, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s aides, were photographed in London meeting with Tobyn Andreae, King Charles’ communications secretary. The trio met at the Royal Over-Seas League, a private members’ club a few minutes away from the Clarence House, where King Charles lives. According to witnesses, the trio enjoyed the outdoors on the club’s balcony before moving inside for a more private conversation.
Though no tidbits of their conversation were heard, a source told Daily Mail: “There’s a long road ahead, but a channel of communication is now open for the first time in years. There was no formal agenda, just casual drinks. There were things both sides wanted to talk about.” Prince William and Princess Catherine’s aides were notably absent.
