‘We’ve been abandoned… we just want a safe place for the whole community’

A campaign to build a community centre for one of Belfast’s “forgotten” estates is gathering steam with residents saying they want it to be the “heartbeat” of the area.
This summer a planning application was finally submitted for a purpose-built community centre in Glencairn — a project which has already been 10 years in the making.
