ROD Stewart has been banned by his wife from going to today’s Scottish Cup semi-final involving his beloved Celtic.
The Hoops-daft singer, 80, rarely misses a big match and is regularly seen at home and away matches.

But missus Penny Lancaster, 54, has told him he has to attend a Easter family lunch in Essex instead while his team take on St Johnstone at Hampden Park this afternoon.
The father of eight, who welcomed his fourth grandchild into the world last month, told The Sunday Post: “I can’t come up for the semi-final. I got a proper telling off from the missus.
“If I’m spotted at the home of Scottish football rather than the home of Rod Stewart, I can’t tell you how my lovely wife may react.
”Let’s just say I’d be singing in a higher voice from now on.”
Tam Cowan, co-host of BBC Radio Scotland’s Off the Ball programme, said: “Sounds like a wise decision from Rod – I can’t get First Cut is the Deepest out of my head.
“I haven’t stopped laughing since I got the call from Rod last week.
“He might be one of the most famous men on the planet, a pop superstar with a glittering 50-year career and an estimated personal fortune of £300 million, but it turns out he’s just like the rest of us… terrified of his wife!”
The rocker is set to take to the stage at Glastonbury this year.
He will follow in the footsteps of the likes of Dolly Parton, Kylie Minogue, Barry Gibb and Lionel Richie who have all appeared during the coveted Sunday afternoon slot.
Announcing the news on social media, Sir Rod wrote: “I’m absolutely thrilled to announce that I’ll be playing Glastonbury 2025!

The Maggie May singer headlined at Glastonbury 23 years ago in 2002, performing on Sunday night to close out the festival.
