Sarover Kaur Aujla, 29, a medical company owner, is in the second season of Love is Blind UK.

The show, referred to by participants as an ‘experiment’, is hosted by Matt and Emma Willis.

It sees singles try to find love ‘sight unseen’ by dating in ‘pods’ separated by a wall.

They are unable to see each other, in the flesh, until they get engaged, with only a few weeks to get to know each other, live together, meet friends and family before tying the knot on camera.

The UK version of the series premiered for the first time last year, having launched in the United States in 2020.

The first UK season also saw a Bucks contestant, Aaron, from Milton Keynes, in the pods.

Sarover’s dating history was described on Netflix’s fan site Tudum.

It said: “This former competitive kickboxer won’t pull any punches in her search to find her husband in the pods.”

The article stated that she has kept men in the friend zone throughout her life, focusing on her education and career.

When she had made attempts at romantic connections, through online dating and being set up by relatives, it was not successful, and she had never been in a serious relationship before entering the show.

In the pods on the show, Sarover explains to a potential partner that she had not dated outside her ethnicity before and that she had found herself dating for other people’s expectations rather than her own wants and needs.

She attempts to change that during the series.

On Instagram, Sarover has close to 5,000 followers and has spoken about the show, thanking viewers for their support.

In a post about being on Love is Blind UK, she said: “The time has finally come to reveal the biggest secret I’ve kept in my life.

“I can’t wait for you all to tune in to Netflix on August 13th and watch S2 unfold.”

In another post, she spoke about her dating life and her nerves about being on the show.

She wrote: “You’re going to watch me step into an experience I never thought I’d say yes to.

“A dating experiment in search for real love.

“I’m excited (and a little nervous) for you to watch where this journey takes me.

“Just remember the girl standing before you there had to overcome generational, cultural, family and personal expectations to lead solely with an open heart and mind and she is beyond proud of herself.”
