Many of the year 13 students are now set to embark on promising futures, with 75 per cent having applied to universities, all of whom are now offer holders from either their first or insurance choice.
Twenty-three per cent of students who applied for higher education will be attending prestigious Russell Group universities, including Imperial College London, the University of Manchester, and the University of Exeter.
Of those progressing to higher education, 46 per cent are the first generation in their family to attend university.
Headteacher Justin Humphreys said: “Another great set of results for our exceptional students.
“Well deserved results for students who have achieved great personal academic outcomes along with securing their chosen pathway to Russell Group universities, apprenticeships, or great employment opportunities.
“A sincere thank you to the teaching staff and colleagues at St Katherine’s for their dedication and compassion in tirelessly working in the best interests of our students.
“Beyond grades, our students have shown resilience, ambition, and community spirit – qualities that will serve them well in their next chapter.”
Geraint Davies, head of sixth form at St Katherine’s, added: “Results day is an emotional and stressful time for young people, so we can reflect proudly on some outstanding outcomes from our 2025 cohort, including many students who have made strong progress from GCSE.
“We are so excited to see students heading off to world-class universities, as well as travelling the world and taking up exciting work opportunities.
“Particular mention must go to the remarkable results of Noah Sakalas, whose achievement of 4A*s will see him progress onto Imperial College London (having turned down an offer from the University of Cambridge).
“We are also incredibly proud of many of our students who showed exceptional determination and resilience to achieve their grades in difficult circumstances.
“Well done, year 13.
“We are so proud of you.”
