The incident happened in West Green Road in Haringey just before 7.10am today (August 19).

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and a man in his 40s was taken to hospital with multiple stab wounds.

His injuries were determined not to be life-threatening or changing.

A 28-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and remains in custody.

West Green Road was closed between La Rose Lane and Langham Road, with buses and traffic diverted.

The area is close to multiple schools and nurseries.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 7.07am on Tuesday, 19 August to reports of a man who had been stabbed on West Green Road, Haringey.

“A man in his 40s was taken to hospital where he was assessed not to have life-changing or life-altering injuries.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 7.05am today (19 August) to reports of a stabbing in West Green Road, Tottenham.

“We sent two ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response officer to the scene. We also dispatched a trauma team in a car from London’s Air Ambulance.

“We treated a patient for several wounds and took him to a major trauma centre.”
