In partnership with East, North and South Ayrshire Local Employability Partnerships, the health board arranged paid placements for nine unemployed parents.
They were positioned in the health board’s Medical Records, Cochlear Implant, Medical Imaging, Learning and Development, and Public Health departments.
Jonny Baillie, NHS Ayrshire & Arran’s employability advisor, said: “The feedback from the departments involved and the participants themselves has been extremely positive, and I’m pleased to say that six of them have gone on to secure employment after their placement.
“A huge well done to everyone involved and thank you to the departments who supported the programme.
“We are delighted with its success and will be replicating it again this year.”
