An Isle of Wight contestant featured on ITV hit show Britain’s Got Talent last night (Saturday, April 19).

Baron Fortitude, the Victorian rapper alter-ego of Luc Valvona, auditioned on the show, with his performance shown on yesterday evening’s episode.

Luc is from the Island, regularly performing at Ballyrags Comedy Club.

He has made appearances at the Ventnor Fringe and Isle of Wight Festival and founded the IW School of Comedy.

He performed a song about the ideal way to make a cup of tea, but unfortunately felt the wrath of the judge’s buzzers, with Simon Cowell, KSI and Alesha Dixon all pressing their red buttons.

Sadly, Baron Fortitude did not advance to the next round, his song failing to impress the judges.

Alesha Dixon even quipped that the song was not her cup of tea.

Britain’s Got Talent is not the first time Luc has featured on TV as Baron Fortitude.

He made an appearance in Channel 5’s Isle of Wight: Jewel of the South.

The four-part TV series, which aired in 2023, spotlighted different people and aspects of the Island.

The show featured Island entertainer Derek Sandy, and Helen Butler on her quest to save the Island’s red squirrels.
