Riccardo Bellini, Valentino

Shortly after the departure of CEO Jacopo Venturini, Valentino already has a new top executive in place: veteran Riccardo Bellini will strengthen the Italian fashion house’s growth and brand identity starting September 1.

New chapter

Bellini has more than 30 years of international experience in the fashion and luxury industry: he was previously CEO of Mayhoola Investments, Valentino’s main shareholder, and also held executive positions at prestigious companies such as Maison Margiela, Chloé, Diesel and Procter & Gamble. Now he must help Valentino return to growth after a difficult period with sales down 2% last year.

“Valentino is an iconic house that combines exceptional heritage and craftsmanship with a unique creative voice,” he says. The new top executive looks forward to working with the team to write a new chapter in the brand’s history. Mohamed Rachid, president of Valentino, emphasizes Bellini’s strategic experience in the luxury sector. “With Riccardo Bellini, we strengthen the success of Valentino. His strategic vision and leadership, together with the powerful creative vision of Alessandro Michele, will drive the fashion house forward.”

Jacopo Venturini resigned as CEO of Valentino last week for personal reasons.
