Two major festivals are set to cause road closures and delays as people celebrate the bank holiday weekend. Creamfields is making a comeback to Daresbury from Thursday, August 21 until Sunday, August 24, while the Liverpool Celebrates festival is scheduled from Saturday, August 23 until Monday, August 25.

Liverpool Celebrates will transform the Pier Head into concert grounds celebrating 80s stars and local talents. This year’s lineup includes throwback icons such as Tony Hadley, Sister Sledge, The Real Thing and Gipsy Kings.

Creamfields is implementing major diversions in an effort to manage the thousands attending the festival. Both events will inevitably impact motorists travelling around the city centre and along the A56.

Here are the road closures and delays for the August bank holiday weekend.
