Pupils at Gordano School have been praised for their “hard work, resilience, and achievement” after the release of their results, which saw top grades across a wide range of subjects.

Several students earned outstanding results, including Ben L with 10 grade 9s and one grade 8, Jamie H with eight grade 9s, one grade 8, and one grade 7, and Jolee W with six grade 9s, two grade 8s, and two grade 7s.

Louise Blundell, headteacher at Gordano School, said: “We are incredibly proud of our Year 11 students.

“Not only were they a pleasure to work with as a year group, but their achievements are a testament not only to their hard work, but also to the unwavering support from our staff, families, and wider school community.

“Today is a day of celebration – not just for individual grades, but for the character, effort, and growth these students have shown throughout their time at Gordano.”

Other high achievers included Sean M, who earned four grade 9s and five grade 8s, Balint TK with three grade 9s, seven grade 8s, and one grade 7, and Sophie R with three grade 9s, six grade 8s, and one grade 7.

Carolyn Tipler, deputy headteacher for curriculum and standards, said: “These results are a reflection of Gordano’s commitment to high standards underpinned by care and support for our young people.

“We are delighted to see so many of this brilliant year group achieving the academic success they deserve, ready to move onto their next phase with confidence and ambition.”
