Destination X had TV viewers on the edge of their seats once again on Thursday (21 August), as another contestant lost their spot on the BBC show.
Claire became the latest contestant to be eliminated, having failed to correctly guess the location as Pisa, Italy. She narrowly missed out on a spot in the semi-final, leaving Daren, Judith, Josh and Saskia as the remaining contestants.
“I was well wrong, no wonder I’m here! This game is so hard. Thinking back to the clues, I still can’t see anything that would match anything to do with this,” Claire said after she exited the bus to see the Tower of Pisa infront of her.
Reflecting on her Destination X journey, she added: “But, what an experience. What a brilliant experience! I’ve learnt a lot about myself, met some fabulous people, who will be friends forever. It’s an experience I’m always going to draw upon. I was convinced I was going to win!”

Fans at home were left gutted by Claire’s elimination and with the final drawing closer, many began predicting who is going to be crowned the winner of the BBC series.
“NOOOOO this elimination is so horrible I’ve had ENOUGH,” one fan complained on X, with a second saying: “That’s a shame, I liked Claire. Darren must win now.”
“#DestinationX has been class. Edge of the seat stuff. Come on Daren,” a third wrote. Another added: “Is Daren actually gonna win this on a wing and a prayer???”
Dozens of fans appeared to agree that Daren would be a worthy winner, with another saying: “daren for the win!!!!!! #DestinationX,” and somebody else commenting: “Judith or Daren to win, otherwise we’re rioting. #DestinationX.”

Daren revealed he’d managed to stay in the game by pure luck, having made a random guess about the location after being left puzzled by the clues.
“I’m feeling very lucky to survive the elimination. Come on, you cabbies!” he said, following his co-star Claire’s exit.
He proceeded to explain to Josh, Saskia and Judith how he’d been given a clue and shared it with Claire, leaving both Josh and Saskia disappointed. Josh admitted his alliance with Daren was now over, after he picked Claire over him.
Destination X continues on Wednesday on BBC One at 9pm.
