Queen Camilla has done it again. And by “again,” I mean absolutely nailed the assignment when it came to her outfit and accessories. Most notably? Her choice of brooch. You might remember the $2.5 million stunner or the time she brought out a piece that hadn’t been seen in nearly a century. This time, she wore a brooch that wasn’t just stylish, it came with a seriously rich backstory.
On Thursday, August 21, Camilla, 78, attended the second day of the Ebor Festival at York Racecourse, where she serves as patron. She looked radiant in a floral Fiona Clare dress, layered under a pale blue belted Anna Valentine coat and paired with nude pumps and a chic fedora-style hat with bow detailing in the back.
For jewelry, she kept it classic with her signature three-strand pearl necklace featuring a statement diamond clasp and matching earrings. But let’s talk about that brooch.

Queen Camilla added a meaningful touch with the Minoru brooch, a piece designed in a horseshoe shape and adorned with sapphires and rubies that spell out “Minoru,” making it the perfect choice for a day at the races.
The brooch carries major historical weight, which explains why Camilla has reached for it at past equestrian events. According to The Court Jeweller, its design dates back to the early 20th century during the reign of King Edward VII.
Back then, Minoru wasn’t just a brooch, it was a real racehorse. In fact, he was one of King Edward VII’s prized Thoroughbreds and widely considered one of the best of his time. The king was so taken with the horse (and his winning streak), he had jewelry made to celebrate both Minoru and his jockey, Danny Maher.
