Sinn Fein has been accused of “hypocrisy” as it pushes for the Occupied Territories Bill to be enacted in the Republic, while the Economy Department in Northern Ireland — headed by one of its ministers — talks of a free trade agreement with Israel.

It comes as an academic specialising in law warned the Westminster Government and, by extension, Northern Ireland would be “violating international law” if they create an agreement which includes goods made or produced in occupied territories.
