The Honor Power launched in April, and we’ve since heard that the brand is already working on its successor, the Power 2. This device would take things up another notch in battery capacity – whereas the Power has an 8,000 mAh cell, its successor is rumored to boast a whopping 10,000 mAh battery.
It’s going to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 SoC, as revealed earlier this month. Today a new rumor out of China tells us to expect it to arrive in the first half of next year. And also, that it will have a 6.79-inch LTPS OLED screen with “1.5K” resolution.
That’s a very, very tiny amount bigger than the original Power’s screen, and the resolution is unchanged. So it may very well be that the Power 2’s main upgrade is the 25% bigger battery. We’ll have to wait and see – there seems to be a rather constant stream of leaks about it these days, so we’re assuming more information will follow soon. Stay tuned.
