Raith Rovers manager Barry Robson: “It looked like a derby and we played like a derby, it wasn’t going to be pretty. I’m pleased we performed well in it.

“We can play with the ball and we’re actually better than that. You can see the quality from the team and we got off to a great start.

“There’s still more to come at the top end of the pitch. That’s 13 games in the league unbeaten. There’s a long way to go for us, it’s a tough league. We don’t get carried away but we will be organised, work hard and have a good spirit.”

Dunfermline Athletic manager Neil Lennon: “We dominated the second half. The difference is two poor goals from our point of view. The first half was scrappy but the second half was brilliant and we deserve something out of the game.

“We’ve only got some players in in the last week and they’re very young. They’re exciting players but they need to find their feet so there will be some up and down until we find consistency.

“The result isn’t what we wanted but the performance gives me hope and satisfaction going forward. We need a goal scorer and some quality up the top end of the pitch and that’s what we’re missing at the minute.”
