Police launch murder investigation following stabbing incident in west Belfast
The brother of a man stabbed to death in west Belfast has appeared in court charged with his murder.
Martin Lowry was remanded in custody at Lisburn Magistrates Court this morning.
The 32-year-old, of no fixed abode, is accused of the murder of his brother Shane on Thursday evening, August 21.
He is further charged with possession of a knife.
Police previously said Shane Lowry, who was aged in his 30s, had been stabbed in the Mulberry Park area.

Lowry spoke only to confirm his name and date of birth during a brief appearance at Lisburn Magistrates Court this morning.
None of the alleged background facts of the incident were opened in court during the hearing.
A PSNI detective said she believed she could connect the accused to the charges.
No application for bail was made.
Asked by Judge Eamonn King to clarify the relationship between the defendant and victim, the court heard they were brothers.
Lowry was remanded into custody to appear back in court via video link on September 15.
On Friday Danny Baker, a local Sinn Fein MLA, said there was shock and sadness in the local community following the death.
SDLP West Belfast councillor Paul Doherty said it was a shocking incident.
