The weekend started with the Master Grades competing in their individual events on Friday, then the other grades Forms and Weapons categories on Saturday, and then closing with the Sparring and Team divisions on Sunday.
Great Britain, which featured Inverness athletes Arizona Morence and Laura Stewart, were crowned Women’s Team Sparring World Champions for the fourth time.
The event was created in 2011, where their master instructor, Kelly Murphy of Inverness Tang Soo Do was on the original winning team.
Murphy said it was an incredible effort by Great Britain to be crowned world champions and proud Inverness athletes were part of the squad.
She said: “It was a great legacy to see Team GB winning this title back on home soil, and can’t wait to watch them attempt to retain it in 2027 when the Championships will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.”
