In a rapidly growing health and wellness market, Gym360 is emerging as a game-changing solution for fitness centres and studios around the world. Built by the founding trio Vishnu Ramachandran, Tom Tharakan, and Rahul V, this all-in-one platform streamlines operations for fitness businesses while enhancing the customer experience—making it a win-win for everyone involved.
For Vishnu, the passion for building something in the software space took root in his childhood. “It all started when I was in school,” he recalls. “Games like Max Payne and Delta Force sparked my interest in tech. Back then, I didn’t realise software could be used to make a real impact on people’s lives.”
Fast forward 14 years, Vishnu and Tom gathered extensive experience in the IT industry, working for various multinational companies and developing software solutions across sectors. The entrepreneurial urge, however, never left them.
“We always felt we had to build something of our own,” Vishnu explains. “We were big consumers of products and services, and that pushed us to create something that gives back to society.”
The vision began to take shape when they met Rahul, a civil engineer by profession but a problem-solver at heart. The synergy among the three was instant, and they went on to launch TechYZ in 2023.
Despite exploring several ideas, the trio kept coming back to the fitness industry. “The decision wasn’t just business,” says Vishnu. “Fitness impacts lives on every level—physical, emotional, even social. A fit person is generally happier, and that happiness spreads to their family and community. We saw an opportunity to create a positive ripple effect in society.”
Gym360 is a complete ecosystem for fitness and wellness businesses. It replaces the need for multiple disparate tools by offering one integrated solution. Whether it’s lead capture and automated follow-ups, member management, payment processing, slot booking, or communication—Gym360 handles it all.
“No more juggling between five different tools,” Vishnu says. “Our solution consolidates everything into one platform. Business owners can now focus on growth, not on managing chaos.”
The product is built around three core components: 1) A web-based admin dashboard for managing operations via desktops and laptops. 2) Mobile admin app that gives business owners the flexibility to manage their facilities on the go. 3) Custom-branded mobile app for members, allowing users to book slots, communicate with trainers, access programs, and receive real-time updates—all under the brand name of the fitness centre they’ve joined.
Although the name Gym360 suggests a focus on gyms, the platform is designed to serve a broader market: dance studios, Zumba classes, yoga centres, martial arts academies, boxing clubs and any business that relies on member management, slot booking, and customer engagement.
“Our solution is not limited to gyms,” Vishnu clarifies. “Anywhere there’s a need to manage members and automate engagement, Gym360 fits perfectly.”
Launched to market in 2024, Gym360 already has over 60 clients spread across India, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and is preparing to onboard clients in Dubai. The growth has largely been organic, driven by word-of-mouth referrals rather than aggressive marketing.
“The fact that our existing customers are bringing in new ones is the biggest validation of our product,” says Vishnu. “It tells us we’re solving real problems.”
The startup is also recognised by the Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), receiving mentorship, networking opportunities, and access to an entrepreneurial ecosystem.
While Gym360 is currently a B2B solution, the team has ambitious plans. “We’re eyeing the Middle East market aggressively, with expansion plans into Europe—especially the UK and Switzerland, and also Australia through resellers,” reveals Vishnu.
The long-term vision includes entering the B2C space with a feature called Program, a platform that offers custom-curated workout and nutrition plans at an affordable rate.
“Today, such plans are premium and not accessible to everyone. We want to democratise this space—provide high-quality, personalised fitness guidance to the masses,” he adds.
