Victor Boniface will return to Germany today, as Milan are still unsure about completing his transfer from Bayer Leverkusen due to fitness concerns.
The Nigerian striker will return to Germany today, awaiting a final decision from Milan on his move from Bayer Leverkusen.
The 24-year-old undergoes medical tests with the Rossoneri on Friday and Saturday, but the condition of his right knee, which was damaged in 2019 and 2020, has convinced the Serie A giants to take their time before signing him.
Furthermore, Boniface missed several games last season due to muscle problems.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, it is increasingly likely that Milan will withdraw from the negotiations, however, a decision has not yet been made, and Milan could end up signing Boniface and another central striker in the final days of the summer transfer window, as Sky Sport Italia reported on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Milan have had a terrible start to the new Serie A season, losing 2-1 at home to Cremonese.
“There were no additional medical tests,” Tare said on Saturday.
“We knew he had problems before, we are evaluating everything as planned regarding the player’s health and physical condition. His qualities are unquestionable. We are just trying to make the right decision for this situation.”/Express newspaper/
